Like I said the other day, it's really nice to get some extra cash in the TIP JAR off to the side of the blog. When trading isn't going so well, after awhile it adds up and it might just be the difference between making the mortgage payment one month or not. Such is the nature of being a small time trader trading your own small time account (at least until someone steps up with that $100k I need to get the first phase of the hedge fund under way:)
What really touches me and really inspires me is the good nature and grace of people who could otherwise remain completely anonymous who leave a contribution. Just the other day TQ from the TagBoard made some money off the CPSL trade idea. TQ left a contribution, it was 15% of his gains. He's a little guy just like most of us, (except for David from Trading-to-Win) and he left 15%! Not that I'm suggesting that anyone should leave 15% or anything at all, do what you please, but think about that. Do you think these Wall Street types would leave 15%? And who really needs the money more?
So beyond the actual jingle, which helps me feel a bit more appreciated when I'm working on a post at 1 a.m., that kind of spirit really drives it home and makes me believe in the good nature of people again. So for all who have contributed to the Tip Jar and for all who are getting involved on the Tag Board, thank you. For you contributors, please be sure to email me, I'm thinking of adding a special update service at some point for intraday trade alerts through email or something like that and I want to be sure that you guys are on the list.
