Industry Laggards-

It's been awhile since I posted a new video. I was up pretty late last night and just decided to do it. This is a video about a strategy I use to find stocks that haven't participated in a move with their respective industry groups. It looks for a group that has made a new high or has broken out and then I go and look for stocks that haven't participated in the rally, but still look good. These are laggards that haven't received attention yet. The idea is, as these industry leaders move, money will come into the group looking for a bargain. You'll see that it works pretty well. I also throw in a few ideas for stock picks along the way.

Unfortunatley, I recorded this video at 3am in the morning so, there are mistakes in it. One such mistake that I saw was grouping OCPI in with the biotechs-it clearly is not a biotech, but all the same-it does fit the profile of an industry laggard. You'll see when I put it up that it is compared to it's own industry group and not that of biotech.

This strategy will work equally well for shorts as it does for longs. There are a few different ways to find these groups-one you could look for stocks with exceptional gains and there are a few different ways to do that-then look at their group. With Telechart you can just flip through the industry groups and then you can narrow your search to the components of that group and find the ones that haven't participated yet. You'll see what I mean. So, here's the video:
